WHY YOU SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT:
Salt Chlorine Generators convert saltwater into chlorine using a process that often raises the pH of pool
water.
hth
®
Salt Pool Care
pH Decreaser protects your salt pool equipment and surfaces by
lowering the pH into the ideal range.
This product lowers the pH of swimming pool water. It also lowers the total alkalinity of swimming pool
water. The ideal pH range is 7.2-7.8. A pH in this range will:
• Allow your salt chlorine generator to work more effectively
• Reduce equipment corrosion
• Reduce eye irritation and skin dryness
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
When the pool water pH value is above 7.8, as determined by the use of a pH test kit,
1. Add 4 ounces (1/4 pound) of hth
®
Salt Pool Care
pH Decreaser for every 10,000 gallons of water to
the deepest part of the pool while
the pump is running.
2. Allow 6 to 8 hours for distribution of the chemical throughout the pool and then recheck the pH.
