Cables and shielding.

EMC performance is dependent upon the use of correct cables of good quality for all external connections

when installing this equipment, ensure compliance with cable/connector specifications and associated

installation instructions where given elsewhere in the product manual.

Where shielded cables are required and no specific requirement in the product manual then the following

good practices shall be implemented:

 Multi-conductor cables should be of double-braided shielded type and have conductive

connector bodies and backshells with cable clamps that are conductively bonded to the

backshell and capable of making 360 degree connection to the cable shielding.

 Ethernet cables should be of the double-shielded type.

 Coaxial cables should be of the double-braided shielded type.

 The shielded cables should be grounded at both end.
