2 Common Settings
2.1 How do I upgrade my phone's software?
NOTE
During an upgrade, all user data, such as contact information, text messages, and multimedia messages,
on your phone will be erased. Therefore, back up important data before upgrading your phone.

To upgrade online, touch Settings > All > About phone > System updates > Online
update.

To upgrade using a microSD card, touch Settings > All > About phone > System
updates > Update via SD card. (Download an upgrade package from the Huawei forum
and save the package to a microSD card.)
2.2 How do I install the ADB driver?
Use a USB cable to connect your phone to a computer, and an installation wizard runs
automatically. Follow the instructions to install the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) driver, as
shown in the following figures. If the installation wizard does not run automatically after you
connect your phone to the computer, double-click the ADB driver to start installation.
