Digital Car Key
Turn Your Phone into a Car Key
Your phone can now be used to open and start your car. You can also share and revoke
digital car keys at any time to minimize security risks. The digital key data is saved in the
security chip of the device, meaning it cannot be stolen or copied. Even if your phone powers
o due to low battery, it can still be used to open and start your car within 24 hours of
shutdown.
1 Download the vehicle manufacturer's app on your phone, such as My Audi, then activate
the car key on your phone with the help of the customer service personnel of the vehicle
manufacturer or authorized car dealership.
2 On your phone, go to Settings > More connections > NFC, open NFC, then set the
vehicle manufacturer's app as the Default app.
3 To unlock your car, hold the NFC area (located by the rear camera) of your phone near
the car door handle.
