Configuring the fingerprint sensor
If you don't trust ordinary unlock passwords, try fingerprint unlock. Use your fingerprint
to unlock the screen, access encrypted files and protected apps, and complete payments
in third-party payment apps.
1 Open Settings and select Fingerprint ID > Fingerprint management .
2 Select PIN or Password , and then follow the onscreen instructions to set a screen lock
password.
