1 Battery and charger 1 Battery and charger 1.1 Why doesn't the charging icon appear when I charge my tablet while it is powered off? Your tablet's system may be unstable when the battery level is extremely low, because of which the charging icon will not appear but the indicator will turn red. Charge your tablet for a few minutes and check again. 1.2 How do I save battery power? Enable power saving mode. On the home screen, touch Settings > Power saving and select a power saving mode.

1 Battery and charger 1.3 What can I do if it takes a long time to charge my tablet? Use the provided charger and do not use your tablet while charging it. 1.4 What can I do if I can't charge my tablet's battery properly? If your tablet's battery power is depleted, charge your tablet for five minutes and check again. Use the charge that comes with your tablet. If the problem persists, reinsert the USB cable, replace the power socket, or restart your tablet.
2 Screen and display 2 Screen and display 2.1 How do I take a screenshot? To take a screenshot, use either of the following methods: Simultaneously press the power and volume down buttons. Press and hold the power button until a dialog box is displayed. Then touch Restart. Restore your tablet to its factory settings. On the home screen, touch Settings > Backup & reset and follow the onscreen instructions. Update your tablet.

3 Camera, music, and video 3 Camera, music, and video 3.1 How do I find or change the preferred save location of my photos and videos? On the viewfinder, touch > Settings to view the default save location of photos and videos under Preferred save location. To change the default save location, touch Preferred save location. If the preferred save location is set to the microSD card, you can view your photos and videos under Files > SD card > DCIM > Camera.

3 Camera, music, and video The file is corrupted. Download another copy of the file and try opening it again. The file is copyright-protected. Obtain a non copyright-protected version of the file. The battery level is low. Connect your phone to a charger and try again. Your table is running out of storage space. To check the available storage space, on the home screen, touch Settings > Storage.
3 Camera, music, and video 3.7 Why can't my tablet play online videos? Your browser may not support Adobe Flash Player, or the flash player you have installed may not support the video format. You can try another browser or update your flash player. 3.8 Why is the online video player unexpectedly terminated when I'm watching online videos? Possible causes are as follows: Your network connection is not working properly. Make sure you have Internet access or restart your tablet.

Make sure you have Internet access or restart your tablet. Your tablet is running out of storage space. Clear cache or unwanted files to free up some storage space. The online music or video server is busy. Try another website or wait for while and try again.

The 3G and LTE versions both support text and multimedia messaging; however, the Wi-Fi only version does not. 4.2 How do I send messages to multiple recipients? Perform the following: 1. On the home screen, touch Messaging > 2. Use either of the following methods to add multiple recipients: a. Touch the recipient text box to enter the recipient phone numbers.

If you have not set any email accounts on your tablet, on the home screen, touch Email and follow the onscreen instructions to set your email account. The size of a single attachment must not exceed 5 MB. Different email servers support different sizes of attachments.

Will I be informed of new emails? When setting your email for the first time, you will be asked to set how often your email refreshes. To view or modify the refresh interval: 1. On the home screen, touch Email > Settings. 2. Touch an email account, choose Sync schedule.

The 3G and LTE versions both support voice calls; however, the Wi-Fi only version does not. 5.2 Does my tablet support video chats? Yes. You can use third-party applications, such as Hangouts and Skype, for video chats. 5.3 How do I assign a photo to a contact? You can only assign photos to contacts saved in your phone memory. 1. On the home screen, touch Contacts. 2. Touch a contact then the contact photo area.

You can import contacts using any of the following methods: If the contacts are saved in Google or other email accounts, synchronize the contacts to your tablet. 1. 6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi 6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi 6.1 How do I know whether my tablet is using its mobile data or Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet? Once connected to a Wi-Fi network, your tablet uses its Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet. Your tablet's mobile data will be used only when no Wi-Fi networks are available. If is displayed in the status bar, your tablet is using its Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet. 6.

Flick down from the status bar to open the notification panel, and then check whether the data switch is highlighted. indicates that mobile data is enabled while indicates that mobile data is disabled. Yes if your tablet supports mobile data.

Make sure your tablet is in a place with good reception, and you have entered the correct casings for the password.
6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi To save battery power, turn Wi-Fi off when there are no Wi-Fi networks available. 6.9 What can I do if I can't find any available Wi-Fi networks after Wi-Fi is turned on? Try the following: Restart the Wi-Fi hotspot device, such as your wireless router. Turn Wi-Fi off on your tablet and turn it back on. Then search for Wi-Fi networks again. Restart your tablet. If the problem persists, make sure MAC address filtering is disabled on your wireless router.

When you connect your tablet to a computer running Windows using a USB cable for the first time and you are prompted to install a driver, follow the onscreen instructions to install it. Flick down from the status bar of your tablet to open the notification panel and choose a connection mode.
6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi This mode is not supported on some models. USB flash drive: In this mode, you can access files saved to your table's microSD card by opening the computer's new disk drive and transfer those files between your table and computer. PC Suite (Hisuite): In this mode, the computer starts HiSuite, with which you can transfer files between your tablet and computer and install applications on your tablet.
6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi 6.16 After I connect my tablet to a computer, can I synchronize emails from Microsoft Outlook on the computer to my tablet? No. You can synchronize contacts and calendars but not emails from Microsoft Outlook. 6.17 Why can't my tablet be detected by other Bluetooth devices? Possible causes are as follows: Your tablet is not set to visible to other Bluetooth devices.

The Bluetooth working range is 10 meters. 6.19 Can I share .apk files through Bluetooth? Yes. In Files, touch and hold the .apk file you want to share. From the displayed File options option menu, touch Share > Bluetooth. 6.
6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi The distance between your tablet and the other Bluetooth device is over 10 meters. 6.21 Can my Tablet function as a USB host? Can it work with an external USB flash drive, mouse, or printer? Your tablet can function as a USB host. You can connect it to a USB flash drive, mouse, or keyboard using a USB On-The-Go (OTG) cable. However, it cannot be connected to a printer. Some peripheral devices may require separate power supplies.
7 Applications 7 Applications 7.1 How do I download third-party applications? You can go to online app stores, such as Google Play Store, to download applications to your tablet. You can also connect your tablet to a computer and download and install applications from the computer to your tablet. 7.2 Can I uninstall carrier-customized applications or other preinstalled third-party applications? If yes, how? Your tablet's system applications cannot be uninstalled.

Possible causes and solutions are as follows: The storage space is insufficient. If this happens, uninstall some applications that you no longer use or delete some files from File Manager. The application is incompatible with your tablet. It is recommended that you download applications from trusted sources, such as the Huawei App Center. 7.

By default, third-party applications are installed to your tablet's internal storage. If your tablet has a microSD card inserted and applications can be moved to a microSD card: On the Settings screen, touch Manage apps, select the applications you want to move to the microSD card, and touch Move to SD card.

9 Backup, restoration, and update 9 Backup, restoration, and update 9.1 Does my tablet support online updates? If it does, how do I perform an online update? Yes. On the home screen, touch Settings > Updater > Check for updates. Your tablet will connect to the Huawei server to check for updates. Updating the system using a microSD card will clear all the data in your tablet. Back up important data before updating your tablet. If you use unauthorized software to update your tablet, it may fail to be updated or your personal information may be disclosed.
9 Backup, restoration, and update 9.3 Will data be erased if I update my tablet? Updating your tablet using a downloaded update package will erase some data, such as your accounts, custom settings, installed applications, contacts, messages, email settings, browser history, and bookmarks, but videos and images you saved on your tablet will not be erased. Performing the online update on your tablet will not erase your data. For details, see the version description.
10 Maps and navigation 10 Maps and navigation 10.1 Why does it take a long time to obtain my tablet's location information? If you are locating your tablet using Wi-Fi, make sure the Wi-Fi connection is working properly. If you are locating your tablet using GPS, make sure you are in an open area, free from obstructions, such as walls. 10.2 What can I do if my navigation application cannot find location information? If you are using the tablet indoors, bring it to the outdoors.

On the home screen, touch Settings > Manage apps > Running, touch the application you want to close, and touch Stop. After you install or remove the SIM card, you have to restart your tablet for your operation to take effect. Your tablet can detect the SIM card status, and the SIM card will not be damaged.
11 System and update 11.7 Why can't I set the date and time on my tablet? You may have set your tablet to use the network date and time. To manually set the date and time: 3. Yes, but to prevent damage to the microSD card or data loss, avoid frequently inserting and removing the microSD card. 11.10 Why does my Tablet constantly crash? If you install applications that have not passed the Google compatibility test on your tablet, the system may be unstable or even crash. It is recommended that you download applications only from the Play Store or Huawei App Center.

Visit http://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/service-center/index.htm and search for a nearby service center. 12.2 How do I download the tablet's User Guide? Visit http://consumer.huawei.com/en/ and search for tablet. 12.3 How do I install a SIM card and a microSD card to my tablet? The Wi-Fi only version does not support SIM cards. 1. Open the card slot cover. 2.
12 Others 12.4 Is there any sound produced by the lower speaker during a voice call? No. In order to ensure a better quality, the lower speaker is shut down during a voice call.
