6 Mobile network and Wi-Fi

6.1 How do I know whether my tablet is using its mobile

data or Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet?

Once connected to a Wi-Fi network, your tablet uses its Wi-Fi connection to access the

Internet. Your tablet's mobile data will be used only when no Wi-Fi networks are available. If

is displayed in the status bar, your tablet is using its Wi-Fi connection to access the

Internet.

6.2 Can I set a static IP address for my tablet to connect to

a Wi-Fi network?

Yes. To set a static IP address:

1. On the home screen, touch Settings > Wi-Fi.

2. Touch or toggle the Wi-Fi switch to to turn on Wi-Fi.
