Locating
Locating the kids watch
An admin can touch Locate on the home screen of the HUAWEI FamCare app to refresh the
location of the kids watch and view the location in real time.
• Locating the kids watch using the HUAWEI FamCare app depends on the network
condition of the kids watch. After the kids watch is powered o, its last location can be
viewed in the HUAWEI FamCare app.
• If you do not touch Locate on the home screen of the HUAWEI FamCare app, the
location displayed in the app will not be the real-time location. In this case, the
HUAWEI FamCare app needs to be opened again to automatically check whether the
location is out of date. If the HUAWEI FamCare app detects that the location was
obtained ve minutes ago, the location will be automatically refreshed.
• Huawei Maps is used on the home screen of the HUAWEI FamCare app and can be
changed to Baidu Maps. Huawei Maps is not available in the Chinese mainland.
Setting safe zones
An admin can set a safe zone for the kids watch to receive notications in the HUAWEI
FamCare app when the watch enters or exits the safe zone.
1 Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner of the home screen,
and go to Safe Zones > Add.
2 Touch Address to enter the screen for editing the name and address.
3 Touch the text box on the right of Name and enter the name of a safe zone.
4 Touch the text box on the right of Address and then enter an address to search for the
center of a safe zone or drag the map to select the center of a safe zone.
5 Under the map, touch or drag the coordinates to set the safe zone and touch in the
upper right corner to save the settings.
6 Touch Repeat to select a notication period, touch OK, and touch in the upper right
corner to save the settings.
7 After the settings take eect, the HUAWEI FamCare app will display a message when your
child has arrived at or left the safe zone. This message will not be displayed on the kids
watch.
