Installation Guidelines For Window Sill Applications
SHEATHING & TAPE
Window rough opening shall be large enough
to allow for the use of shims during installation.
Follow window manufacturer instructions for
minimum rough opening dimensions.

Check rough opening is plumb, level and square.
Apply, with pressure, ZIP System
stretch tape to cover
bottom of rough opening, overhanging onto the sheathing
by at least 2" and extending a minimum of 6" up each
jamb. After applying, roll over ZIP System stretch tape with
ZIP System
tape roller for better adhesion.

Place temporary shims at each corner of the rough
opening where the jamb meets the sill.

Insert window from the outside and rest it on the shims.

Check window for square, plumb and level.
Remove temporary shims and fi nish window installation.
