Hub installation
Figure 5-1 shows the IFL and required lightning arrestor. The
lightning arrestor is installed on the roof at the IFL building
penetration point.
Figure 5-1 shows how the IFL cable is installed in two segments
to accommodate the lightning arrestor:
• One segment from the IDU to the rooftop lightning arrestor
• One segment rom the lightning arrestor to the ODU

Because the IFL cable is installed in two segments, it is cut and
terminated (with an N–type connector) in four locations, as shown
in figure 5-2.
