Lock the backrest in place Push the backrest forward to an upright position to ensure that the backrest pins are properly aligned with the pin cradles and pin latches. Pull the backrest backward until it locks into place. Tuck the flap on the front of the backrest down behind the seat bottom. From behind the chair, smooth the flap against the seat bottom. The flap attaches to the seat bottom using the hook and loop strip.
