TV listening system with infrared transmission

Safety Precautions

- Before you start up and use this device, please be sure to read through all these instruc-

tions carefully.

- Keep these operating instructions in a safe place so that other users have access to them

any time they might need them.

- The device and the power supply unit in particular are designed for use in dry indoor

rooms only. Proper operation is guaranteed at a room temperature of 10 °C to 35 °C.

- Do not place the infrared transmitter near heating vents or radiators and avoid any expo-

sure to direct sunlight. Direct sunlight may have a negative effect on infrared sound trans-

mission.

- Always handle the device and any accessories with care and set them up in as dust-free

and clean an environment as possible.

- Clean the transmitter and the receiver regularly. The soft silicone earpieces should be

cleaned regularly to always ensure proper hygiene. To replace them, please use the soft

silicone earpieces that are sold as special accessories.

- Varnishes and furniture polishes can react aggressively with the rubber feet on the trans-

mitter and leave unsightly marks on the surfaces of your furniture.

- Make sure that you only ever use the power supply unit provided with the device to supply

electricity to the transmitter.

- Should you not plan to use the system for the period of several days, we recommend that

you pull the power supply unit out of the wall outlet.

Important note:

- Your receiver can be set to a high volume. To protect your hearing or the hearing of people

with normal hearing, particularly of children, from any damage caused by excessively loud

volume, please observe the following information:

1. Set the volume to low before you put on the receiver.

2. While using the device, set the volume to a level that is comfortable for you.

- If you would like to use this device while using a cardiac pacemaker or any other medical

device, please observe the following information:

1. Before you use this product together with a pacemaker, consult your doctor or the

manufacturer of the pacemaker to make sure that none of the functions of the pace-

maker will be affected.

2. If you use a cardiac pacemaker or any other medical device, be sure to follow the

safety precautions/safety guidelines provided by your doctor or the manufacturer of
