Phone calls with Base (BS) Calling 1. Lift the telephone receiver or press the key . 2. Enter the phone number. 3. To end the phone call, hang the phone receiver up or press the key again . You can also increase high or low frequencies by using the sound control (slide switch on the front, see figure 1). Note: The sound control is only functional if the amplification is switched on. Figure 1: Sound control/volume adjustment Switch to adjust the volume reset Settings can be made on your phone so that the volume will be reset to the basic settings once the telephone receiver is hung up.
Photo target dial key Base Assign phone numbers to photo target dial keys The 8 photo target dial keys can be assigned to any phone number (max. 32 numbers for each key). Afterwards, the numbers are also in the phone book. 1. Enter the required phone number. 2. Press and hold one photo target dial key long enough until the number on the display have been moved. Press "Save". 3. Enter the name now and press "Save" again. 4. Select the desired ring tone for the phone number and press "Select".
Adjust the ringer volume of the ring tone The ringer volume of the ring tone can be adjusted with the two switches on the right side of the phone. Erase a call from the caller ID list 1. The keys are used to transfer to the caller ID list. 2. The keys are used to find the numbers to be erased in the list. 3. Press "Option" and select "Delete". Set the language for set talk. You can set the language that will be read to you. A maximum of three languages are available. 1. Press the "Menu" key to get to the setup menu. 2. Select "Set Talk" with the keys and confirm with "Select". 3. Select "Language" and confirm with "Select". 4. Use to set the desired language and confirm with "Select". Answering machine AB (BS) The phone includes an integrated answering machine. It can be controlled by the Base or the mobile unit.
4. Select "Record OGM" and confirm with "Select". The display shows "will be recorded". Speak your message loudly and clearly into the answering machine and complete the recording with "End". The recording stops automatically if you speak longer than 3 minutes. Edit outgoing message You can set the phone for a standard text or to the text that you recorded. 1. Press the "Menu" key to get to the setup menu. 2. Select "TAM setup" and confirm with "Select" by using the keys. 3.
Listen to messages (BS) The phone shows on the display if you have a new message. 07/12 DO 14:49 Total 01 NR 01 Tel.Buc. Menü NR means "Message" Press the key to replay the message. The phone announces how many new messages and how many old messages you have. The messages will be replayed successively. You can trigger the following functions during replay. DEL Erase current message. Play next message. Repeat previous message. Stop messages and end.
SOS functions (BS) This part of the instructions covers the SOS functions of the base station. This phone is equipped with an SOS function. An alarm will be triggered and the emergency call starts when pressing the SOS key. Up to 5 numbers can be stored. These number will be called up to a maximum of 3 times or until a recipient accepts the call. You can record your own text, which will then be played. The emergency call will be interrupted with the STOP key. Program SOS number 1.
3. Select "SOS autom on" and confirm with "Select". Use to switch the function on/off and confirm with "Select". Define security ID for SOS 1. Press the "Menu" key to get to the setup menu. 2. Wall mounting 1. Slide the bracket for the phone receiver from its position and rotate it by 180 degrees. Afterwards, slide the bracket back into the original position in such a way the the bracket nose points upward (see figure 2). Switch mobile unit On/Off If the mobile unit is switched off, then it will be switched on automatically by putting it into the charge bowl. Otherwise proceed as before: If the mobile unit is switched on, press the key until the device is switched on. The mobile unit searches for the Base and is ready. Press the key until the device is switched off to switch the mobile unit off. Phoning with the mobile unit (MT) Calling 1. Press the key . 2. Enter the phone number. 3.
Erase the last dialed numbers 1. By pressing the key , the last dialed number will be displayed. 2. Using , you can dial the last dialed numbers. 3. Press "More" and select "Erase" to erase this entry or "Erase all" to erase all entries. Press "Select" to complete this process. Adjusting the receiver volume/high/low frequencies The receiver volume can be adjusted during a calls by using the or keys, which are located on the left side of the phone.
Speed dial keys M1/M2 (MT) Phone book the mobile unit (MT) Assign phone numbers to speed dial keys M1/M2 The 2 speed dial keys M1/M2 can be assigned to any phone number (max. 32 numbers for each key). Afterwards, the numbers are also in the phone book under M1 and M2 at the top. 1. Press the speed dial keys M1 or M2. 2. Enter the desired phone number now and select "Save". 3. Select the desired ring tone for the phone number and press "Selection".
4. The contact will be called up by pressing the key. Modify contact in phone book Please follow the instructions when modifying the contacts: 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "Phonebook" entry with . 2. Press "Select". 3. By using the keys, you can browse within the phone book and find the desired contact. 4. Press "Select". 5.
Delete a call from the caller ID list 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "CID Book" entry with . 2. The keys are used to browse in the CID book to the desired entry. 3. Press "More" and select "Erase" with "Select". This means that the number is erased. Erase all calls from the caller ID list 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "CID Book" entry with . 2. The keys are used to browse in the CID book up to the desired entry. 3. Press "More" and select "Delete All" with "Select".
Phone settings (MT) Set alarm You can set an alarm with the snooze function on the mobile unit. 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "HS Settings" entry with . 2. Press "Select". 3. Select "Alarm" and confirm with "Select". 4. Select "On" and confirm with "Select". 5. Enter the desired alarm time now and press "Select". 6. Select now snooze and switch the snooze function On or Off and complete the process with "Select". An alarm clock symbol will be shown on the display if the alarm is activated. 7.
Range alarm A signal tone can be heard each time if the mobile unit is outside the range of the Base station. This signal tone can be switched on/ off. 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "HS Settings" entry with . 2. Press "Select". 3. Select "Tone Setup" and confirm with "Select". 4. Select "Range" and confirm with "Select". 5. Select "On" or "Off" and complete the process with "Select". Language The mobile phone includes a selection of 6 languages. 1.
Voice output mobile unit This mobile unit is equipped with a simple voice output. Numbers will be read during entry. 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "HS Settings" entry with . 2. Press "Select". 3. Select "Talk Keypad" and confirm with "Select". 4. Select "On" or "Off" and complete the process with "Select". Select Base You can select a Base on which a mobile unit has already been registered. You can only select Bases, which are already registered on the mobile unit. 1.
Additional functions (MT) Register new mobile unit The delivered mobile unit is already registered with the Base. It is registered as mobile unit 1. Each additional mobile unit that you purchase must first be registered with the Base station. Up to 5 mobile units can be registered with the Base station. Internal calls between mobile units are possible. Incoming calls can be transferred to other mobile units. Up to 4 Base stations can be registered with each mobile unit.
Three way conference call You can establish a three way conference call if both of you conduct an external call and if an intercom situation is present. Follow the steps: 1. Press the key at the mobile unit during a call. The external caller will be put into a waiting loop. 2. Enter the desired mobile number between 1 and 5. 3. The dialed mobile unit will ring. The name of the dialing mobile unit will be shown on the display. 4. Receive the call with . 5.
Playback outgoing message 1 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "ANS. Machine" entry with . 2. Press "Select". 3. Select "Announce" and confirm with "Select". 4. Find "Answer Only" and confirm with "Select". 5. Select "Playback" and confirm with "Select". The recording will be played back. Record announcement 2 (answer & record) For best results, speak in the direction of the microphone during recording. 1. Press the "Menu" key and select the "ANS. Machine" entry with . 2. 4. Select "Set Ring" and confirm with "Select". 5. You select "toll saver" with and confirm it with "Select" Secret security ID for TAM setup. A confidential four digit secret number is required to access your messages from an external phone. The default secret ID number is "0000". SOS functions (MT) This part of the instructions covers the SOS functions of the mobile unit. The mobile unit is equipped with a simple SOS function. A freely programmable number will be called when pressing the SOS button on the back. Only one number can be stored. Program SOS number Press the SOS button on the back. If you have not yet entered a number, then you will be asked to enter the number now and confirm with "Select". The number is now in the phone book under "SOS".
Important note The device is not protected against splashing water. Do not put objects that are filled with fluids on the device, e.g. vases. Naked flames sources such as burning candles, must also not be put on the device. Appendix Maintenance and care The phone does not need maintenance. In case of contamination, please clean the device now and then with a soft, clean and slightly moist cloth. Never use alcohol, thinner or other organic solvents.
