Choose Your Setup
There are several way s to con ne ct your receiver to m atch y our p articular equipment setup and to gain
optimum signal qualit y. The basic step s are a s follow s:
• Connect the satel lite dis h cable to your receiver.
• Connect t he receiver audio and video to your TV or VCR.
• If you con nected the re ceiver to a VCR, con ne ct the VCR to your TV.
• Connec t the receiver to a telephone li ne.
• Plug in all power cord s .

Connecting Your DIRECTV Receiver to the Satellite Dish
ConnecttheRG-6RFcoaxialcablefromyoursatellitedishtothejacklabeledSATELLITEINon
t he DIRECTV R e ceiver.
When working with
cables, be sure to
connect corresponding
outputs and inputs (Video
OUT to Video IN, Right
Audio OUT to Right Audio
IN, etc.). Never connect
an IN to an IN or an OUT
to an OUT.
All A/V jacks and inputs
are color coded. Always
match the color of the
plug to the same color of
the jack.
