8. MAINTENANCE
Charging station
Store the charging station and transformer indoors.
The boundary wire and the guide wire can be left in
the ground. The ends of the wires should be
protected from dampness by putting them in a
container with grease.
8.2 Service
Leave your Automower
®
to a dealer for service prior
to winter storage. This is essential in order to keep
the mower in a good condition.
• Service usually includes the following:
• Thorough cleaning of the body, the chassis, the
blade disc and all other moving parts.
• Testing of the mower’s function and components.
• Checking and if required replacement of wear
items such as blades and bearings.
• Testing of the mower’s battery capacity as well as
a recommendation of change if necessary.
• If necessary the dealer can also load Automower
®
with new software, possibly including newly added
features.
8.3 After winter storage
During a service the dealer can clean the mower
thoroughly, test its function and components as well as
replace wear parts if necessary. If the charging strips
or contact strips appear to be burnt, clean them using
fine grade emery cloth. Check that the mower’s time
and date are correct.
8.4 Cleaning
It is important to keep Automower
®
clean. A mower
with large amounts of grass stuck to it will not cope as
well with slopes. It is recommended to clean using a
brush and a spray with water.
Underframe and blade disc
1. Set the main switch to the 0 position.
2. Wear protective gloves.
3. Lift Automower
®
onto its side.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Never use a high-pressure washer or even
running water to clean Automower
®
. Solvent
must never be used when cleaning.
