General working instructions
Personal protection
• Always wear boots and other equipment described
under the heading Personal protective equipment.
• Always wear working clothes and heavy-duty long
trousers.
• Never wear loose clothing or jewellery.
• Make sure your hair does not hang below shoulder
level.
• Switch off the engine before moving to another area.
Fit the transport guard before carrying or transporting
the equipment any distance.
Safety instructions regarding the
surroundings
• Never allow children to use the machine.
• Ensure that no-one comes closer than 5 m while you
are working. Especially pay attention to a collector of
harvested fruit.
• Watch out of snakes in trees. The snakes are used to
hunt down rats in the trees that could destroy the crop.
• Look out for fruit that could fall from the trees.
• Make sure to work in the right lighting. Shadows from
trees can make you miss judge different situations.
• watch out for sharp edge on leaves and thorns on the
fruit when working and moving.
• Never allow anyone else to use the machine without
first ensuring that they have read and understood the
contents of the operator’s manual.
• Never work from a ladder, stool or any other raised
position that is not fully secured.
Safety instructions while working
Take care in location like terraced field.
• Always ensure you have a safe and stable working
position.
• Always use both hands to hold the machine. Hold the
machine at the side of your body.
• Use your right hand to control the throttle setting.
• Make sure that your hands and feet do not come near
the cutting attachment when the engine is running.
• When the engine is switched off, keep your hands and
feet away from the cutting attachment until it has
stopped completely.
• Always lay the machine on the ground when you are
not using it.
• Watch out for debris of branches and leaves that can
be thrown out during cutting.
• You should also pay attention to the fact that falling
fruit bunches and fronds.
