WORKING TECHNIQUES
English – 19
• Cut the fruit bunch by using the same technique. If the
fruitbunch is not falling, use the hook to get the fruit
bunch.
• if the machine kicks back you are using the wrong
work technique or a dull blade.
Work technique sickle
• Prune the frond to expose the fruitbunch. Hook the
frond and press trottle trigger and at the same time
give the hook a slight pull.
• Release the throttle as soon the frond is cut.
• Cut the fruit bunch by using the same technique. If the
fruitbunch is not falling, use the tip of the sickle to hook
out the fruit bunch.

WARNING! Do not force and open the
frond or fruit bunch by using the side
surface of the cutting equipment to drop
the fruit bunch. The cutting equipment
could be bent or broken.
!
WARNING! Avoid over extend the pole
for greater reach. Avoid cutting vertically
upwards. Maintain a safe distance about
2m from the tree. Sudden change in light
exposure may affect your vision and
reflex. Keep a safety distance to the tree.
