NOTE: You may now roll your tractor off the skid. Continue
using the instructions that follow to remove the tractor from
the skid.
WARNING: Before start ing, read, un der stand and fol-
low all in struc tions in the Op er a tion section of this man u al.
Ensure tractor is in a well-ventilated area. Ensure the area
in front of tractor is clear of other peo ple and objects.
TO ROLL TRACTOR OFF SKID (See Op er a tion
section for location and function of con trols)
• Raise attachment lift lever to its highest po si tion.
• Release parking brake by de press ing clutch/brake
ped al.
• Place freewheel control in "TRANS MIS SION DIS EN-
GAGED" position. (See “TO TRANS PORT” in the
Op er a tion section of this manual.)
• Roll tractor forward off skid.
• Remove banding holding the defl ector shield up against
tractor.

INSTALL SEAT (See Fig. 2 - 3)
• Pivot seat upward and remove from the unit. Remove
the cardboard and foam packing and discard.
• Retrieve the knob, cup washer, three bolts and washers
from the bag of parts.
• Pivot seat and pan forward and assemble three bolts
and washers. Tighten securely.
• Install adjustment knob and cup washer loosely. Do
not tighten.
• Inspect seat switch to ensure it is fully latched in seat.
• Connect wiring harness to seat switch.

VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTMENT (See Fig. 4)
Seat pan comes in the upper position from the factory and
can be moved to the lower position for ease of operation.
TO ADJUST
• Remove nuts and bolts.
• Relocate seat pan assembly to lower position.
• Reinstall bolts and nuts, tighten to 15-20 ft. lbs.
• Refer to "TO ADJUST SEAT" for fi nal seat adjustment.

• Lower seat into operating position and sit in seat.
• Slide seat until a comfortable position is reached which
allows you to reach full travel of the clutch/brake pedal.
• Get off seat without moving its ad just ed position.
• Raise seat and tighten adjustment knob securely.

IMPORTANT: Before operating tractor, ensure
operator presence switch is functioning properly (see
“CHECK OPERATOR PRESENCE SYSTEM” in the
MAINTENANCE section of this manual).
