Starting failure
Check Possible Cause Action
Fuel tank Incorrect fuel type Drain it and use correct fuel.
Fuel filter Clogged fuel filter Clean the fuel filter.
Spark plug
Spark plug contaminated or wet
Make sure that the spark plug is dry
and clean.
Spark plug gap incorrect.
Clean the outside of the spark plug.
Remove it and check the electrode
gap. Adjust the gap to 0,6-0,7 mm, or
replace the spark plug. Check that the
spark plug is fitted with a suppressor.
Spark plug loose. Retighten the spark plug
Engine starts but does not stay running.

Carburetor Engine will not idle properly. Adjust the idle speed
Muffler (Exhaust port) Carbon is build up Clean the muffler.
Cylinder (Exhaust port) Carbon is build up Clean the exhaust port on the cylinder
Air filter Air filter clogged Clean the air filter.
Cooling fins on the cylinder. Clogged with dust. Clean the cooling system.
