Balance setting for buttonholes
Regulación exacta del equilibrio para ojales
The machine is set for sewing even buttonho- les in most fabrics. However, some combina- tions of fabric, needle and thread may cause som variations in the columns. If this is the case, adjustment can be made by means of a screw located inside the stitch length dial. Set the stitch length dial to buttonhole symbol. Remove teh dial by pulling it straight out. You will now see the screw used to adjust balance. Use the screwdriver included with your attachments. Adjust the balance by turning the screw very slightly. If the left column is tighter that the right one, turn the screw slightly to the left. If the right column is tighter that the left one, turn the screw slightly to the right. Check the buttonhole after each adjust- ment. Replace the dial by fi tting the ridge on the dial into the slot (a) and then push into place.
La máquina está regulada para poder coser ojales uniformes sobre la mayoría de los gé- neros en uso. Sin embargo, debido a ciertas combinaciones entre género, aguja e hilo, alguna diferencia entre los dos bordes del ojal podrá manifestarse. Siendo este el caso, Ud. puede ajustarlo mediante un tornillo que está delante del volante regulador para la longitud de puntadas. Ajuste la longitud de puntadas en el símbolo de ojales. Retire el volante tirándolo hacia afuera.
Ajuste el equilibrio con el tornillo. ¡Atención! Haga esto con pequeños movimientos. Si el borde izquierdo del ojal resulta más tupido que el derecho, afl oje el tornillo un poco a la izquierda. Si el borde derecho del ojal resulta más tupido que el izquierdo, afl oje el tornillo un poco a la derecha. Cuando coloque de nuevo el volante, inserte el gorrón del volante en su ranura (a) y apriete.
