DIFFERENTIALLOCK
WARNING
Withthedifferentiallockengaged,vehicleturningfunctionsaregreatlyreduced.Topreventlossof
vehiclecontrolwhendifferentiallockisengaged,donotoperatevehicleatspeedsgreaterthanhalf
throttleandusecautionwhenattemptingtoturnthevehicle.
Disengagedifferentiallockonpavedsurfaces.
Thedifferentiallockisusedtoprovidebettertractionattherearwheelswhennecessary.Engagingthedifferentiallock
willtransferpowertobothrearwheelssimultaneously(Figure10).
1.Toengagethedifferentiallock,slowthevehicletonomorethanhalfthrottleandpulldifferentiallockhandle
towardthebackofthevehicle.Thedifferentiallockwillengagewhenpowertobothrearwheelsisrequired.
2.Todisengagethedifferentiallock,cometoacompletestop,thenpushlevertowardfrontofvehicle.
LOWOILWARNINGLIGHT
Thevehicleisequippedwithalowoilwarninglight,locatedontheinstrumentpaneljusttotherightofthesteering
columnandkeyswitch(Figure11).Ifthewarninglightcomeson,oilshouldbecheckedandaddedtotheengineas
necessarybeforecontinuingtousethevehicle.Thevehicleshouldneverbedrivenwhenthelowoilwarninglight
remainson.Ifthewarninglightgoesonandoff,thevehiclemaybedriven,butoilshouldbeaddedattherst
opportunity.Iftheoilleveliscorrectandthewarninglightstayson,haveatrainedtechniciancheckthevehicle.

CAUTION
Failuretoaddoilimmediatelywhenthelowoilwarninglightstaysonmayresultinpermanent
enginedamage.
