PREPARINGTHEVEHICLEFOREXTENDEDSTORAGE
1.Unloadthevehiclesothatthetiresaresupportingonlytheweightofthevehicle.
2.Storethevehicleinacool,dryplace.Thiswillminimizebatteryself-discharge.Ifthebatteryappearstobeweak,
haveitchargedbyatrainedtechnician.Useanautomotive-type12-voltbatterychargerratedat10ampsorless.
Checkelectrolytelevelafterchargingandadddistilledwaterifnecessary.
3.MakesurethekeyswitchisintheOFFpositionandtheForward/ReversehandleisintheNEUTRALposition.

4.Preparethefueltank.
4.1.Fillthetankwithfreshfuel.
4.2.Followingthemanufacturer’sdirections,addacommerciallyavailablefuelstabilizer(suchasSta-Bil
®
).Run
theengineinawell-ventilatedareatoallowtreatedfueltoreplaceuntreatedfuelinthecarburetor.
4.3.Turnthefuelshut-offvalve(1)totheclosed(OFF)position(Figure11,Page29).
