5.Connecttheendoftherstcabletothepositive(+)terminaloftheboosterbattery.Connecttheotherendofthe
samecabletothepositive(+)terminalofthesolenoid(Figure31,Page46).SeefollowingDANGER.

BatteryExplosivegases!Donotsmoke.Keepsparksandamesawayfromthevehicleandservice
area.Ventilatewhenchargingoroperatingvehicleinanenclosedarea.Wearafullfaceshieldand
rubbergloveswhenworkingonornearbatteries.
6.Connecttheendofthesecondcabletothenegative(-)terminaloftheboosterbattery.Connecttheotherendof
thesamecabletothenegative(-)terminalofthedisabledvehiclebattery(Figure32,Page46).
7.Starttheengine.Aftertheenginehasstarted,removethecablefromthenegative(-)terminalofthedisabled
vehiclebatteryrst.Removethecablefromthepositive(+)terminalofthesolenoid.Thenremovethecables
fromtheboosterbattery.

CLEANINGTHEVEHICLE
Eachvehicleisequippedwithhand-washablefrontandrearbodies.Thevehiclehasapowder-coatedsteelcargo
bed.Usecommercialautomotivecleaningsolutionswithaspongeorsoftclothfornormalcleaning.Agardenhoseat
normalresidentialwaterpressureisadequate.
Themanufacturerdoesnotrecommendanytypeofpressurewashingorsteamcleaning.Suchaprocesswill
exposeelectricalcomponentstomoisture.Moistureenteringelectricalcomponentscanresultinwaterdamageand
subsequentcomponentfailure.
Usenon-abrasivewaxproducts.Batteryacid,fertilizers,tars,asphalt,creosote,paint,orchewinggumshouldbe
removedimmediatelytopreventpossiblestains.
Theseatsofthevehiclewilllastlongerwithpropercleaning.Useasolutionof10%liquidsoapandwarmwaterapplied
withasoftcloth.Forimbeddeddirt,asoftbristlebrushmaybeused.Forheavysoiling,difcultstains,orscratches,
blemishes,orotherbodydamage,seetheappropriatemaintenanceandservicemanual.SeefollowingNOTE.
