12-VOLTACCESSORYOUTLET
The12-voltaccessoryoutlet(11)islocatedtotherightofthekeyswitch(Figure6andFigure7).Itprovidesaconstant
12VDCwiththekeyswitchintheONorOFFposition.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Extendeduseofthisaccessoryoutletcancausethebatterytobecomeheavilydischarged.
LOWOILWARNINGLIGHT
Thelowoilwarninglight(9)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneljusttotheleftofthesteeringcolumn(Figure6and
Figure7).Ifthewarninglightlightsup,oilshouldbecheckedandaddedtotheengineasnecessarybeforevehicleuse
continues.Thevehicleshouldneverbedrivenwhenthelowoilwarninglightremainslit.Ifthewarninglightalternately
lightsanddarkens,thevehiclemaybedriven,butoilshouldbeaddedattherstopportunity.Iftheoilleveliscorrect
andthewarninglightremainslit,haveatrainedtechniciancheckthevehicle.SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Failuretoaddoilimmediatelywhenthelowoilwarninglightstaysonmayresultinpermanent
enginedamage.
FUELGAUGE/HOURMETER
Thefuelgaugeandhourmeter(8)arehousedtogetherontherightsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure6andFigure
7).ThefuelgaugeoperateswhenthekeyswitchisintheONpositionandallowstheoperatortomonitorthefuel
levelinthevehicle.Thehourmeteroperatesonlywhentheengineisrunning,andshouldbeusedbythetrained
techniciantotrackvehicleusageanddeterminewhenperiodicserviceproceduresarerequired.SeePeriodic
ServiceScheduleonpage33.
HEADLIGHTCONTROL
Theheadlightcontrol(12)islocatedontheleftsideoftheinstrumentpanel(Figure6andFigure7).Pressthe
headlightrockerswitchtoturntheheadlightsonoroff.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Usingtheheadlightsforextendedperiodswhiletheengineiseitherofforidlingwilldischargethebattery.

Theelectricbedliftswitch(13)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneltotheleftofthekeyswitch(Figure6andFigure
7).SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Removecargobeforeraisingthebed.
Toliftthebed,pushupandholdtherockerswitchintheupperposition.Releasetheswitchtostoptheliftingoperation.
Toclosethebed,pressdownandholdtheswitchinthelowerposition.Thebedliftwillmakealoudclickingsoundto
signalthatthebedisintherestposition.
HIGH-TEMPERATUREWARNINGLIGHT(DIESELVEHICLESONLY)
Thehigh-temperaturewarninglight(10)islocatedontheinstrumentpaneltotheleftofthesteeringcolumn,next
tothelowoilwarninglight(9)(Figure7).Thedieselengineisliquid-cooled;iftheenginecoolanthasexceededits
