Eventhoughthelowoilwarninglightontheinstrumentpanelshouldilluminateiftheoillevelbecomeslow,the
engineoillevelshouldbecheckeddaily.Thevehicleshouldbeonalevelsurfacewhentheoilischecked.Donot
overlltheenginewithoil.
OILPRESSURE–GASOLINEENGINE
Kawasakiengine:TheKawasakigasolineenginehasanoillterthatismountedonabracketbetweenandinfrontof
theengineandtransmission.Inletandoutletoil-carryinghosesenableoilcirculationtoandfromtheengine.See
followingNOTE.
NOTE:ThenormaloilpressurevaluestatedintheKawasakienginemanualis35-45psiatidle;however,theremote
lterdesigncausesoilpressuretobe18psi,whichisnormalforthistypeofoilcirculationdesign.
ENGINEOILLEVELCHECK
1.Removetheoilleveldipstickfromtheoilllertubeandwipeoilfromthedipstick(Figure19andFigure20).
SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Donotremovedipstickwhileengineisrunning.
2.Checkoillevelbyfullyinsertingthedipstickintothetubeandimmediatelyremovingit.
3.Iftheoillevelisatorbelowthelowlevelmarkonthedipstickgauge,addoiltotheengineuntilthelevelis
betweenlowandfulllevels(safelevel).SeefollowingCAUTION.
CAUTION
•Donotexceedrecommendedoilcapacity.Doingsowilldecreaseengineperformanceorresultin
damagetotheengine.
