PRE-OPERATIONANDDAILYSAFETYCHECKLIST
EachHusqvarnavehiclehasbeenthoroughlyinspectedandadjustedatthefactory;however,uponreceivingyournew
vehicle(s),youshouldbecomefamiliarwiththecontrols,indicators,andoperation.Carefullyinspecteachvehicleto
ensurethatitisinproperworkingconditionbeforeacceptingdelivery.
Usethefollowinglistasaguidetoinspectthevehicle.Thislistshouldbeuseddailyandinconjunctionwiththe
PerformanceInspectiononpage19andthePeriodicServiceScheduleonpage30toensurethatthevehicleisin
properworkingcondition.AnyproblemsshouldbecorrectedbyaHusqvarnadealer/distributororatrainedtechnician.
General:Allthepartsshouldbeinplaceandproperlyinstalled.Besurethatallnuts,bolts,andscrewsaretight.
Checkhoseclampsfortightt.
Safetyandinformationdecals:Checktoensurethatallsafetyandinformationdecalsareinplaceandcanbe
readeasily.SeeSafetyDecalandFeatureIdenticationonpage4.
ROPS:ChecktoensuretheROPSisnotdamagedandallhardwareissecure.SeeRoll-OverProtective
StructureandSeatBeltsonpage16.
Seatbelts:Visuallyinspectforcuts,fraying,andlooseparts.SeeRoll-OverProtectiveStructureandSeat
Beltsonpage16.
Tires:Checkforpropertirepressure.Visuallyinspecttiresforwear,damage,andproperinationonadailybasis.

Battery:Checkelectrolytetoensureitisattheproperlevel(Figure29).Checkbatteryposts.Wiresshouldbetight
andfreeofcorrosion,andbatteryshouldbefullycharged.
Engine:Checkforproperengineoilandcoolantlevelsandleaks.SeeEngineOilonpage35.Checkairlter
andreplaceifnecessary.
Fuel:Checkfuellevel.SeeFuelingInstructionsonpage42.Checkfueltank,lines,fuelcap,pump,andfuellters
forfuelleakage.Drainwaterfromthefuellter(dieselvehicle).SeeDrainingWaterfromFuelFilteronpage43.
Exhaustsystem:Checkforleaks.
Hydraulicbrakes:Checkuidlevel.FillwithDOT5brakeuidonly.SeeBrakeFluidReservoironpage34.Wear
inthebrakesbeforeinitialvehicleoperation.Onaat,opensurface,acceleratethevehicletomoderatespeed,
thenapplythebrakesundermodest,steadypressure.Repeatthisprocedure8-12times.SeefollowingNOTE.
NOTE:Performthewear-inprocedurewhenthevehiclehasbeeninoperationforlessthanaweek,orwhenthe
brakepadsorrotorhavebeenreplaced.
PerformanceInspection:Inspectasinstructed.SeePerformanceInspectiononpage19.
PERFORMANCEINSPECTION
Afteryouhavefamiliarizedyourselfwiththevehiclecontrolsandhavereadandunderstoodthedrivinginstructions,
takethevehicleforatestdrive.Usethefollowinglist,inadditiontothePre-OperationandDailySafetyChecklist,
asaguidetoinspectthevehicledailyforproperoperation.AnyproblemsshouldbecorrectedbyaHusqvarna
dealer/distributororatrainedtechnician.
Forward/Reverseshifter:Checkforproperoperation.SeeControlsandIndicatorsonpage12.
Brakes:Besurethebrakesfunctionproperly.Whenbrakepedalisfullypressedundermoderatepressure,the
vehicleshouldcometoasmooth,straightstop.Ifthevehicleswervesorfailstostop,havethebrakesystem
