•Firmlyengageparkbrakebeforeloadingvehicle.
•Donotallowridersinthecargobed.
•Reducevehicleloadandspeedwhendrivingupordownslopesoronuneventerrain.
•Donotexceedratedvehiclecapacity.Ratedcapacityisforlevelsurfacesonly.
•Overloadingcanaffectvehiclehandlingorcausecomponentfailure,resultinginlossofcontrolof
vehicleandpossibleseverepersonalinjuryordeath.
•Donotloadtailgate.Thetailgateshouldbeintheuprightpositionandlatchedsecurelywhilethe
vehicleisinmotion.
•Tohelpavoidshiftingvehicleloadandpossiblyoverturningthevehicle,avoidsuddenstarts,sudden
stopsandabruptturns.Makesurecargoiswellsecured.
•Avoidtop-heavyloads.Thecenterofgravityofloadshouldneverexceed15inches(38cm)above
thebottomofthecargobed.
•Thecargo’scenterofgravitymayaffecthandling,steering,andbrakingofthevehicle.Whenthe
vehicleisloaded,reducespeedanddriveslowlyinturns.
•Unloadcargobedbeforeraisingvehiclewithalift,hoist,orjack.
•Avoidstoppingonahillwhenloaded.Ifyoumuststoponahill,avoidsuddenstarts,orrolling
backwardsandstoppingsuddenly.Failuretoheedthiswarningmaycausevehicletooverturn,
possiblyresultinginseverepersonalinjury.
•Reducespeedandavoidsuddenstopswhenbackingup.Failuretodosomaycausethevehicle
tooverturnoripoverbackwards.
•Maximumcargoloadmustbereducedbytheweightofoptionalequipment.
