Thebrakeuidreservoir(1)islocatedunderthehood(Figure14).Raisethehoodtocheckthebrakeuidlevel.
Duringthebrakeuidlevelinspection,alsoinspectthefollowing:
•Thepresenceofbrakeuidontheexteriorsurfaceofthemastercylinderindicatesaleak.
•Thebrakeuidreservoirdiaphragm(locatedinthecap)shouldnothaveholesorotherdamage.
BRAKEFLUID
Brakeuidlevelshouldbewithin1/4-inch(6mm)fromthetopofthereservoir(Figure15).Also,brakeuidshouldbe
cleanwithnoresidueinthebottomofthereservoirorotherevidenceofcontamination.
CAUTION
•UseonlyDOT5(silicone)brakeuid.Useofanyothertypebrakeuidisnotrecommended.
