ENGINEOILANDFILTERCHANGE
Engineoilandoilltershouldbechangedaftertherst50hoursofoperation(diesel).Afterthat,theyshouldbe
changedevery100hoursofoperationorannually,whichevercomesrst.
EngineOilDraining
1.TurnthekeyswitchtotheOFFpositionandremovethekey.PlacetheForward/ReversehandleintheNEUTRAL
position.Chockthefrontwheels.
2.Disconnectbattery.SeeDisconnectingtheBattery–DieselVehiclesonpage10.
3.Removetheoilllercaptoallowtheoiltodrainproperly.
4.Positionapandesignedforoilchangesunderthedrainplug(Figure17).
5.Fromtheundersideofthevehicle,useasocketorwrenchtoremovethedrainplug(1).Turntheplug
counterclockwiseanddraintheengineoilintothepan.SeefollowingWARNING.
WARNING
•Donotattempttochangeengineoilwhentheengineishotorevenwarm.Hotengineoilcancause
skinburns.
•Wearsafetyglassesorapprovedeyeprotectionwhenservicingthevehicle.Wearrubbergloveswhen
handlingoildrainplug,oillter,andoildrainpan.
6.Cleantheoildrainplugthreadswithsolventtoremoveoilandoilresidue.Makesurethatthecompression
washerremainsonthedrainplug.Inspectthecompressionwasherandreplaceifnecessary.
7.Useasocketorwrenchtoreplacetheoildrainplug(1)(Figure17).Turntheplugclockwiseandtightento31
