7.2 Periodical visual inspections
The table below lists the recommended tasks for maintaining the products. The visual
inspections should be performed in the intervals specified to be able to respond in due
time, e.g. in the case of changes at the site that may result in improper operation.
The specified intervals refer to the operation within the defined environmental conditions,
refer to

Shorter intervals may be required
Depending on the respective environmental conditions at the site of the product, shorter
intervals may be required.
We recommend logging the results of the test.
Tasks and intervals for visual inspections
Task/s Interval/s
Site inspection based on the document "Site Requirements
DIB-R5 flexibleTx", e.g. the inspection of the:
n Grounding equipment
n Power supply connector
n TETRA antennas
n Installation location of the GNSS antenna
n Condition and fit of all supply lines, renew if necessary
n Connections between two DIB-R5 flexibleTx with
expansion rack only
n Upon site changes
n Once every year
Check the condition of the product with respect to:
n Operational readiness (checking operating states)
n Dirt and dust accumulations on and in the compact rack,
remove if necessary
n Degree of contamination of contact pins, remove dirt if
necessary
n Check the fan unit for proper operation; replace the air
filter mat as required
Once every year
Checking function of external alarms – if wired Once every year
Checking standby carriers – if available Once every year
Checking external antenna coupling systems The use of external
antenna coupling sys-
tems is project specific.
The network operator
