Connecting to the Network
2.6.1 Mobile Network
Before you connect the terminal to the mobile network, make sure that the SIM card has registered with
the carrier network. When you do not use the mobile network, disable the mobile network to save the
data usage and prolong the standby time.
To enable/disable the mobile network, do one of the following:
Swipe down from the status bar to expand all shortcuts, and then turn on
Mobile data.
Tap
Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile network, and then turn on Mobile data.
2.6.2 Wi-Fi
The terminal can connect to a Wi-Fi network to access the Internet, so as to reduce mobile data usage
and avoid unnecessary data charges.
To connect the terminal to the Wi-Fi network, do the following:
1. Turn on Wi-Fi in one of the following ways:
Swipe down from the status bar to expand all shortcuts, and then turn on Wi-Fi.
Tap
Settings > Network & Internet > Wi-Fi, and turn on Wi-Fi.
2. Tap one of the listed available networks.
3. If the icon displays next to the wireless network, enter the network password and tap
CONNECT.
After the terminal is connected to a wireless network, the network will be automatically saved. To view,
add, or forget saved networks, tap Wi-Fi > Saved networks.
To allow the terminal to automatically notify when detecting a wireless network, do as follows:
1. Tap
Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi preferences.
2. Turn on
Open network notification.
