Important safeguards Using the device at temperature below -10º may cause the breakage of the device. Before using, please, heat up the passenger compartment to the recommended temperature! Installation/connection Notes: Choose the mounting location where the unit will not interfere with the normal driving function of the driver. Before finally installing the unit, connect the wiring and make sure that the unit works properly. Consult with your nearest dealer if installation requires the drilling of holes or other modifications of the vehicle. Install the unit where it does not get in the driver's way and cannot injure the passenger if there is a sudden stop, like an emergency stop.
1. Make sure the ignition is turned off, and then disconnect the cable from the vehicle battery's negative (-) terminal. 2. Disconnect the wire harness and the antenna. 3. Press RELEASE button to remove the control panel. 4. Lift the top of the outer trim ring then pull it out to remove it. 5. Use the two supplied release keys to remove the unit from the mounting bracket.
9. To further secure the unit, use the supplied metal strap to secure the back of the unit in place. Use the supplied hardware (Hex Nut (M5mm) and Spring Washer) to attach one end of the strap to the mounting bolt on the back of the unit. If necessary, bend the metal strap to fit your vehicle's mounting area. Then use the supplied hardware (Tapping Screw (5x25mm) and Plain Washer) to attach the other end of metal strap to a solid metal part of the vehicle under the dashboard.
2. DIN REAR-MOUNT (Method B) If your vehicle is a Nissan, Toyota, follow this mounting instruction. Use the screw holes marked T (Toyota), N (Nissan) located on both sides of the unit to fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets supplied with your vehicle. Fasten the unit to the factory radio mounting brackets. Align the screw holes on the bracket with the screw holes on the unit, and then tighten the screws (5x5mm) on each side.
2. Pull off the front panel from the main unit. Store the front panel in the protective case provided for safe keeping. TO ATTACH THE FRONT PANEL First fasten the right side of the front panel onto the bracket of main unit. Then slightly push the left side of the front panel to attach the main unit. The front panel holder will slide in automatically within 15 seconds after the ignition is turned off, if the connection is made correctly.
Electrical Connection Note: The parking wire is connected with brake signal; for safety, the programs can be seen on the monitor after braking the car.
Connecting the reversing line to taillight on the car After connecting, when you start up the reverse gear, the unit will receive the picture from car rear view camera.

Press the catch and at the same time pull out the battery tray (pic. 1). 2. Insert the 1 lithium battery, type CR2025 (3V) battery with the stamped (+) mark facing upward. General operations Reset the Unit Operating the unit for the first time or after replacing the car battery, you must reset the unit. Remove the front panel at first, and then press RESET button on the inner panel of the unit with a pointed object, (such as a ballpoint pen) to set the unit to initial state. Note: When some errors occur on the display, you can also press RESET button to resume to normal, and it will erase some memorized functions.
Volume Control Press VOL+/VOL- button on the RC or on the unit to increase/decrease the sound level. Mute Function Press MUTE button on the RC or on the unit to turn off the sound. The corresponding icon appears on the TFT. Press it again to resume the previous volume level. System (SYS) DVD/TV joyswitch Move the joyswitch to SYS, DVD or TV, to use the buttons on the remote control served for system, DVD or TV playback. Otherwise you will not able to use the buttons.
Dual zone Pressing and holding SMART/MODE button on the RC, you can turn on or off the dual zone playing mode. After turning on dual zone playing mode, press SMART/MODE button to select the playback mode for rear zone: MEDIA => TV => AV1 => AV2. Last Position Memory During the media playback (DISC, USB, SD/MMC CARD), if you turn off the unit and then switch on it, the unit will resume playing from the point that it was interrupted.
Using the touch screen control The Touch Screen Control allows fingertip control of virtually all functions. Alternatively, you could also operate with ease with the user-friendly integrated big function buttons that are prominently visible. To access the main control interface In every playback mode, when you press the SOURCE button in the head unit, or click the icon on the touch screen, the main control interface will pop up.
To access a menu mode (AUDIO, PICTURE, SYSTEM, DVD), click the relevant icons on the touch screen. Click the icon to return to previous playback and exit the main control interface. Tools Setup 1. Audio Setup In the tools setup interface mode, click the icon on touch screen, the first audio setup interface will pop up.
You can adjust each item by pressing the icon -Volume level: 0~63; - Bass: -7~ 7; -Treble: -7~7; - Balance: L15~L-R~R15; Click the icon or on the touch screen. to access the second audio setup interface. You can adjust each item by pressing the icon / or / on the touch screen. -Fader: R15~R-F~F15; -EQ:FLAT, CLASSIC, POP, ROCK; - Loudness (increases the low frequency, which can improve sensitivity for your ears): on/off; - Sub.woofer: on/off.
2. Picture Setup In the tools setup interface mode, click the icon Click the icon or on the touch screen, the picture setup interface will pop up. , you can select a video setup item. Then you can adjust the selected item by pressing the icon or Bright: 0~63 Contrast: 0~63; Color: 0~63; -Tint: 0~63. The default parameter value of items is 31, click the icon parameter value. After finishing setting, when you click the icon on the touch screen.
3. System Setup In the tools setup interface mode, click the icon on touch screen; the system setup interface will pop up. 1) Clock Setup mode Click the icon to access the clock setup interface. You can adjust each item by pressing the icon or in the touch screen. Time Display: on/off; In this mode, you can select clock to appear or disappear on the touch screen.
Time mode: 12/24 Hour display format; Hour: To adjust hour; Minute: To adjust minute. After finishing setting, you can click the icon to return the upper tier tools setup interface; click the icon to exit the menu setup interface. 2) Front and rear dual zone independent playing setup mode Click the icon Click the icon to access the front and rear dual zone independent playing setup mode interface. or to turn on or off the front and rear dual zone independent playing mode.
After finishing setting, you can click the icon to return to upper tier tools setup interface; click the icon to exit the menu setup interface. 3) Other Setup Click the icon to access the TV format setup mode and NAV Voice setup mode interface. 1. You can select the TV format by pressing the icon or according to local area TV format. 2. You can select the navigation prompt voice of GPS on/off by pressing the icon After finishing setting, you can click the icon or .
Aim at the “+” and click it, the symbol will moves around the touch screen, click it five times, system will finish calibration automatically and exit calibration mode. If the calibration setting has been finished, the interface will pop up or the following window will appear. Touch the screen once to save the setting and exit the calibration mode or wait 30 seconds to leave old setting and to exit. 4.
When the top item is blackout, you can choose the different setup pages by pressing the icon or on the touch screen. Click the icon to move the cursor to the setup page below and then you can access different setup options by using the icon or . Click the icon to move to the choice list of each setup option, and then use the icon or to change your selection. Note: Also you can use the cursor buttons on the RC. Click the icon Press to confirm your selection.
System Setup 1) TV SYSTEM TV SYSTEM is used to select the TV output mode. This car DVD player can play discs recorded in either PAL or NTSC formats. Select NTSC format when need NTSC signal on the extra monitor. Select PAL format when you need PAL signal on the extra monitor. You can also choose AUTO SELECT, which will sense the type of monitor attached to the output and select NTSC or PAL as need.
However, due to the mismatch in aspect ratio, parts of the movie at the extreme left and right sides will not be visible when playing a 16:9 format movie. 4:3 LB (LETTER BOX) When you are playing a widescreen format video on a normal (4:3) monitor, the best way to view this is in (4:3) letterbox format. You can see the full picture, but there will be a black band at the top and bottom of the screen. 16:9 (WIDESCREEN) Select this format when connected to a widescreen TV.
Language Setup When you open the language setup page, you will see the following screen: This menu provides many choices for the menu, DVD and subtitle languages. The languages for the DVD player in its various menus are set in different menus than those choices you might make for the playback of a particular disc. Please note that language options vary from disc to disc, and some settings may be unavailable on some discs.
Digital Setup When you open the digital setup page, you will see the DIGITAL SETUP screen: 1). OP MODE: Change among LINE OUT/RF REMOD. LINE OUT: LINE OUT mode, with digital dialog normalization. RF REMOD: RF REMODULATION mode, with heavy compression and digital dialog normalization. 2). DYNAMIC RANGE: Change among FULL, 6/8, 4/8, 2/8, OFF. 3). DUAL MONO: Change among STEREO, MONO L, MONO R, MIX MONO.
Radio Operations To switch to radio mode Briefly press the SOURCE button on the unit or press the SOURCE/SRC on the remote control to select the radio mode. Or click the icon on the touch screen to select the radio mode. The radio control interface will pop up. To select a radio band In radio mode, repeatedly press BAND button on the head unit or remote control or click the icon on the touch screen to select one of the following radio broadcasting bands: ->FM 1-> FM 2 ->FM3->AM 1 ->AM2.
Then press FAST FORWARD/FAST REWIND buttons on the RC or / on the screen repeatedly to manually search upward or downward step by step for the desired radio station within the current band. In manual tuning, if the tuning buttons haven't been pressed within 5 seconds, it will change into automatic search mode automatically. Automatic tuning mode Briefly press FAST FORWARD/FAST REWIND buttons on the RC or / on the touch screen, the automatic search will start.
Press a preset button (1-6) on the remote control briefly or click preset icon (1 -6) on the touch screen to recall the stored station. You can also recall the stored station by pressing PREVIOUS/NEXT buttons on the remote control. Auto store/Preset scan Auto store: Pressing and holding the AS/PS button on the head unit or remote control, or pressing and holding the icon on the touch screen to start auto store.
LOCAL/DX In urban settings, most stations are strong enough and it should be set in LOCAL mode. Switch to DX (distant) mode to search for stations with weaker signals. Press the LO/DX button on the remote control or click the icon on the touch screen to choose local reception or DX (distant) reception mode. RDS (Radio Data System) Operations This unit has a built-in RDS decoder system that supports broadcast stations transmitting RDS data.
Program name is displayed on receiving a RDS station. “AF” starts blinking if the broadcasting signals getting worse. There are 3 state the segment AF on the TFT display: Segment “AF” off: AF switching mode off. Segment “AF” on: AF switching mode on, and has RDS information. Segment “AF” flashing: AF switching mode on, but RDS information is not received yet. When AF switching mode is selected, the radio checks the signal strength of AF all the time.
1) Switches automatically from any audio mode to the traffic announcement. 2) Switches on the traffic announcement automatically when the receiver is in waiting reception mode and the audio signal is muted. 3) TA, TP will be displayed on LCD. Note: When the traffic announcement is over, the initial operation mode will be restored. TA interruption function: The current traffic announcement is cancelled by pressing the TA button. But the TA search mode will not be off.
After selecting a program type, the radio will search relevant PTY information automatically. The radio will stop searching if the radio detects the PTY relevant information. If the relevant PTY information is not found, the radio exits the PTY function and returns to previous normal mode. Emergency broadcast If an emergency broadcast is received, all function mode operations are stopped, “ALARM” appears in the display, and the emergency broadcast can be heard.
Disc operations Discs for playback This unit can play disc types: DVD/DVD±R/DVD±RW/CD/CD-R/CD-RW. Compatible with formats: DVD/SVCD/VCD/MP3/WMA/HDCD/CDDA/MPEG4(DivX)/Picture-CD/ JPEG. The following file types are supported: Audio files: MP3 (*.mp3) WMA (*.wma) Video files: MP4 (*.avi, DIVX3.11/4.0/5.0) MPEG 2(*.vob) MPEG 1(*.dat) Picture file: JPEG (*.jpg) ISO 9660 or ISO 9660 +Joliet format - Max. 30 characters Max. Track number is 448 Max. nested directory is 8 levels The max. album number is 99 The max.

Loading/Unload a Disc Press EJECT button on the head unit or the remote control, you can flip down a front panel. Then insert the disc into the disc slot with the printed side facing up. The unit will retract the front panel and play the disc automatically. Pressing the top left corner of the touch screen will take the touch screen to main control screen of disc playback. To eject the disc press EJECT button on the remote control or unit, or press the icon on the bottom of the touch screen.
During DVD, VCD, MPEG4, MP3, CD disc, or the MP3/WMA file stored in the USB/SD/MMC playback, press PREVIOUS/NEXT button on the remote control or unit or click the icon / on the touch screen to play the next or previous charter/track. Playing forward and backward In DVD, VCD, MPEG4, MP3, CD disc, or the MP3/WMA file stored in the USB/SD/MMC playback, press FAST FORWARD/FAST REWIND buttons on the remote control or click the icon / on the touch screen to fast rewind or fast forward playback.
Repeat Play/ Paragraph Repeat Play Repeat play: Use this function when you wish to repeat a whole disc, a track or a directory on the disc. 1) Press RPT button on the remote control repeatedly to select the different repeat modes. 2) For different kinds of discs, pressing the RPT button has different effects.
3. To return to normal playback, press the A-B button again. Playing In Random Sequence Briefly press the RDM button on the remote control to switch the random mode on/off. If the random mode is on the tracks (files) in the disc or USB/SD/MMC memory card will be played in random sequence. Step playback During playing the DVD, SVCD,VCD or MPEG4 disc, press the STEP button to play the video discs or files with step by step, and the picture will be still. Press PLAY/PAUSE button to resume normal playback.
The language number is different according to the disc. The number of available language varies from disc to disc. Multi-Audio Language For DVD For DVD discs which have multiple language soundtracks, you can press AUDIO button to switch between the audio languages recorded on the disc. Note: The number of available languages varies from disc to disc. Some discs only contain one soundtrack language. Not all discs will allow changing the audio language during playback.
This example indicates that you are currently viewing the first of three available camera angles. Press ANGLE button to select a different angle. Notes: Some time may be required for the angle to change. Depending on the disc, the viewing angle can be switched in one of two ways. 1. Seamless: The angle switches smoothly. 2. Non-seamless: When the angle is switched, a still picture is displayed first, after which the angle switches. The number of available viewing angles varies from disc to disc.
Programmed Play Function Press the PROG button during playback to activate the program-editing interface as follows: For VCD/SVCD/CD: For DVD/MP3/MPEG4: 1) Use cursor buttons on the remote control to select the item that you want to program. The item you selected will be highlighted. 2) Input the track number that you want to program using the numeric buttons (0-9) on the remote control.
On Screen Display Press and hold the INFO button during playback to display information of the current disc on the screen: For DVD Disc Information: For VCD/CD/MP3/JPEG: 1. Disc type 2. Playback information TT 1/3: Current title/Total title; CH 1 /1: Current Chapter/ Total Chapter; TRK 9/18: Current Track/ Total Track. 3.
C-: Remaining time of the current chapter. 4. Audio language or audio channel indication 5. Subtitle language indication 6. View angle indication 7. Mute indication 8. PBC indication (only for VCD with PBC) 9. Repeat playback indication : One track repeat playback; : One directory repeat playback; : The whole disc repeat playback; : Exit repeat playback mode; GOTO Function Press GOTO button, the screen will display the following message.
2. Then enter a number with the digit button to input the desired Title/Chapter, Track, then press the ENTER button to confirm your selection. To search for a particular point by playing time 1. Use the cursor buttons to move to 3 (time). 2. Use the number buttons on the remote control to input the elapsed playing time of the current title or the disc, and then press ENTER button to confirm the selection.
Left column - folder(s). (9 folders can be displayed at a time). Right column - files. (9 files can be displayed at a time). Press STOP button on the remote control, or click STOP button on the touch screen, then use the cursor buttons to navigate in menu and to select an item on the screen, then press ENTER button to confirm you selection. Note: SYS/DVD/TV switch should be at DVD position. In viewing picture or MPEG4 movie mode, if you want to return the previous menu, press STOP button.
USB Operations This car DVD player features a USB interface. A USB device can be connected to this port. Using the USB device: When you insert a USB device into the USB port, the DVD player will search and read the MP3/WMA/MPEG4 file in the USB device automatically (not all USB sticks supports this function). If you insert a disc into the disc slot while reading the USB stick, the unit will play the disc. Press SOURCE button to switch to USB playback mode. Notes: Use the USB adaptor cable, if necessary.
SD/MMC Memory Card Operations This car DVD player features a SD/MMC memory card slot. ASD/MMC memory card can be connected to this slot. Using the SD/MMC card: After removing the front panel by pressing the RELEASE button, so that you can insert a SD/MMC card into the memory card slot, then remount the front panel back to the head unit, the DVD player will search and read the MP3/WMA/MPEG4 files in the SD/MMC card automatically. (Not all cards support this function).
AV In Operations This DVD player is equipped with an Audio / Video Auxiliary input jack, so you can connect audio/video device you wish to use in this car DVD player. 1) To connect with a mobile audio/video system by using the auxiliary A/V input cable. 2) Press SOURCE button on the remote control to access or exit the AV1 or AV2 mode. You can also access or exit AV1 or AV2 mode by using the relevant icon on the touch screen.
TV Operations Switch to TV mode Press SOURCE button to switch to TV mode. Or click the icon on main control interface to switch to TV mode. In TV mode, the function of the buttons served in DVD mode is locked. Note: Move the joyswitch on the RC to TV position. Searching Channels Press the GOTO button on the remote or click the icon searching mode.
-Then press NEXT button on the RC, or click - Press the PREVIOUS the RC or click icon on the touch screen to start searching TV channels. icon on the touch screen to stop searching TV channels. Selecting Channels - Press NEXT/ PREVIOUS buttons on the RC or click the icons / to choose channel upward or downward. - Press the numeric button (0-9) on the remote control to select a specific TV channel. - You can also select a specific TV channel by using the touch screen.
Handling and cleaning discs Dirty, scratched or warped discs may cause skip ping or noise. Handle the disc only by the edges. To keep clean do not touch its surface. Discs should be stored in their cases after use to avoid scratches. Do not expose discs to direct sunlight, high humidity, high temperature or dust. Prolonged exposure to extreme temperature can wrap the disc (such as leaving the discs in your car during summertime). Do not stick or write anything on either side of disc.
Troubleshooting guide Symptom No power Cause The car ignition is not on. Disc cannot be loaded. The fuse is blown. Presence of disc inside the player. Disc cannot be read.
