Synchronizing
Information
Synchronizing Calendar
Calendar items stored on your Pocket PC
Phone can be syn chro nized with cal en dar
items stored on your desktop PC and/or on
a Microsoft Ex change Server. By default,
cal en dar items from the last two weeks will
be synchronized.
Calendar items created on your Pocket
PC Phone are cop ied to your desktop PC
and/or server during syn chro ni za tion, and
vice versa. Similarly,
Calendar items that are
de let ed from your phone are deleted from
your desktop com put er and/or serv er during
syn chro ni za tion, and vice ver sa. This keeps your informa-
tion up-to-date in all locations.
Synchronizing Contacts
Contacts stored on your phone can be synchronized with
con tacts stored on your desktop computer or on a Micro-
soft Ex change Serv er. By default, all of your
con tacts will
be syn chro nized.
Contacts created on your phone are copied to your desk-
top com put er and/or server during synchronization, and
vice ver sa. Sim i lar ly,
contacts that are deleted from your
phone are de let ed from your desktop computer and/or
server during syn chro ni za tion, and vice versa. This keeps
your information up-to-date in all lo ca tions.
Synchronizing Tasks
Tasks stored on your phone can be synchronized with
tasks stored on your desktop computer. Task syn chro ni z-
a tion is automatically selected in
ActiveSync. By de fault,
all of your incomplete tasks will be synchronized.
Tasks created on your phone are copied to your desktop
com put er during synchronization, and vice versa. Sim i -
lar ly,
tasks that are deleted from your phone are deleted
from your desk top computer during synchronization, and
vice versa. This keeps your in for ma tion up-to-date in all
locations.
Tasks can be synchronized only with your desktop
computer. They cannot be synchronized with a
server.
