10. Troubleshooting
Code Error name Cause/Action
0CA Overheating Cause: [1] This error indicates that the temperature around the power
transistor in the controller is excessively high (95qC or above).
[2] The regenerative resistance energy is insufficient due to high
decceleration setting during the downward movement in the
vertival setting.
[3] A faulty part inside the controller.
Action: [1] Lower the surrounding air temperature.
[2] Review the setting condition so that the deceleration curve will
be moderate.
If [1] or [2] does not apply, please contact IAI.
0CB Current-sensor offset
adjustment error
The condition of the current detection sensor in the controller is checked
during the initialization process performed after the controller is started.
This error indicates that the sensor was found abnormal as a result of this
check.
Cause: The current detection sensor or any surrounding part is faulty.
Action: The board must be replaced.
Please contact IAI.
0E0 Overload Cause: [1] The load increased due to application of an external force.
[2] The brake cannot be released on a controller equipped with
brake.
[3] The slide resistance of the actuator is high in some location.
Action: [1] Check the condition around the work part. If the work part is
receiving an abnormally high external force, make the
necessary corrections.
[2] Turn off the brake release switch to check if the brake will be
released. If the brake is not released, the brake itself may be
faulty, the brake cable may have been disconnected, or the
brake circuit in the controller may have a faulty component,
among other reasons.
[3] If the work part can be moved by hand, move it to see if the
slide resistance increases significantly at a certain position.
If [2] or [3] is suspected, please contact IAI.
Note: Always remove the cause of the problem before resuming the
operation. If the power was cut off, wait at least 30 minutes before
turning on the power again to prevent the motor coil from suffering
burn damage.
0E8 Phase-A/B
disconnection
detection
Encoder signals cannot be detected correctly.
Cause: [1] Loose or disconnected encoder-extension cable connector
[2] Loose or disconnected actuator-end connector of the supplied
cable
Action: Check the connection condition of the encoder extension cable
and conduct continuity check. If the results are normal, please
contact IAI.
0F2 Fieldbus module error Cause: An error was detected in a fieldbus module.
Action: Check parameters.
0F3 Fieldbus module
undetected error
Cause: The module could not be detected.
Action: Turn the power supply ON again. If the problem persists, contact
IAI.
