Installation af en DS6000 eller DS8000 ved brug af Storage Manager eller disksystemets kommandolinjeinterface.
Installation af SDD (Storage Device Driver) og om nødvendigt devicedrivere på op til to servere pr. platform.
Installation af aktiveringsnøgler, allokering af diske, oprettelse af diskgrupper, adapterkonfigurationer og hosttilknytninger
Udførelse af IBM-standardinstallationstest med henblik på at verificere funktionen af Storage-systemet.
