5.RemoveanypartsordisconnectanycablesthatmightimpedeyouraccesstotheBIOSrecoveryjumper.
6.MovetheBIOSrecoveryjumperfromthenormalposition(pin1andpin2)totherecoveryposition
(pin2andpin3).
7.Reinstallanypartsorreconnectanycablesandreinstalltheservercover.See“Completingtheparts

8.ConnecttheservertoanacpowersourceandthenfollowtheinstallationinstructionsfortheBIOS
updateutilityprogramtostarttheserverfromtherecoveryimage.Therecoverywindowopens.

TheThinkServerEasyStartupprogramsimpliestheprocessofconguringRAIDandinstallingsupported
WindowsandLinuxoperatingsystemsanddevicedriversonyourserver.Theprogramworksinconjunction
withyourWindowsorLinuxoperatingsysteminstallationdisctoautomatetheprocessofinstallingthe
operatingsystemandassociateddevicedrivers.Thisprogramisprovidedwithyourserveronaself-starting
(bootable)ThinkServerEasyStartupDVD.TheuserguidefortheprogramisalsoontheDVDandcanbe
accesseddirectlyfromtheprograminterface.
