Install Instructions

1. Removecoverfromremotesensorhousingusinga1/16”hexkey.
2. Selectanappropriatelocationformountingtheremotesensor.Mountapproximately5ft.above
oor,onaninteriorwall.Avoidareasindirectsunlight,nearaheatproducingapplianceornearair
owfromaventorduct.
3. Mountremotesensorunitusinghardwareprovided.
4. Installtwostrandshielded(Beldon#8450orequivalent)wiresbetweenremotesensorand
thermostat.
 • Wire 1shouldrunbetweentheS1terminalonthethermostatandtheS1terminalontheremotesensor
 • Wire 2shouldrunbetweentheS2terminalonthethermostatandtheS2terminalontheremotesensor
 • Shielding (shield & bare wire)shouldbeconnectedtotheS2terminalatthethermostat
5. ForSC2XXXandSC3XXXseriesthermostatsonly,disablethemainsensor(R12)onthethermostat
bycuttingitfromthecircuitboard.
Note:ForSC4XXXandSC5XXXseriesthermostats,nomodicationofthermostatisrequired
