This item sets the external keypad capability and
function.
For your information
The following diagram shows the equivalent circuit of
an external keypad and connects to the pin 2 and
pin 7 of the [MIC] connector (p. 10).

: Pushing one of external keypad switches, transmits
the desired voice memory contents (during a phone
mode (SSB, AM, FM) operation.

: External keypad does not function.

If you want to transmit a message using the exter-
nal keypad descrived at left, you must set “47

transmit voice memory channels T1—T4 in ad-
vance (p.96).
