Auto notch function
■ Notch function
This transceiver has auto and manual notch func-
tions. The auto notch function automatically attenu-
ates up to 3 beat tones, tuning signals, etc., even if
they are moving. The manual notch can be set to at-
tenuate a frequency via the manual notch filter set
mode.
➥ While in SSB and AM modes, push [ANF/
•
REC] or
[MNF/ADJ] to toggle the notch function between
auto, manual and OFF.
•Both of the auto and manual notch functions can be ac-
tivated at the same time.
➥ While in CW and RTTY modes, push [MNF/ADJ]
to toggle the manual notch function ON and OFF.
➥ While in FM mode, push [ANF/
•
REC] to toggle the
auto notch function ON and OFF.
•“ ” appears when auto notch function is in use.
•“ ” appears when manual notch function is in use.

page.
The auto notch can be used in SSB, AM and FM
modes.
