D Memory keyer screen
Pre-set characters can be sent using the keyer send
menu. Contents of the memory keyer are set using
the edit menu.
Transmitting
q During CW mode operation, push [KEYER] (F-3)
to select memory keyer screen.
w Push [TRANSMIT] to set the transceiver to trans-
mit, or set the break-in function ON (p. 85).
e Push one of the function keys ([M1] (F-1) to [M4]
(F-4)) to send the contents of the memory keyer.
Push and hold a function key that is pushed in step q
for 1 sec., or push [REPEAT] (F-6)
while sending the
contents of the memory keyer to send repeatedly; push
any funct
ion key except for to cancel the transmission.
• “
” appears while transmitting repeatedly.
The contest serial number counter counts each time
the contents are sent.
Push [−1] (F-5)
to reduce the contest serial number
count by 1 before sending the contents of the memory
keyer to a station a second time.
• “M1”–“M4” are highlighted while transmitting.
Set the repeat interval of the memory keyer to 1–60
sec. (1 sec. steps). See p. 44 for keyer set mode.
r Push [EXIT/SET] twice to return to normal screen.
For your information
When an external keypad is connected to [MIC] con-
nector on the front panel, or one of [F1]−[F4] key
of the keyboard that is connected to the [USB] (A)
connector on the front panel is pushed, the pro-
grammed contents, M1M4, can be transmitted
without selecting the memory keyer screen.
