Making DSC calls ■
To ensure correct operation of the DSC function, make
sure you correctly set the CH70 SQL LEVEL. (p. 64)
Making an D individual call
The Individual call function allows you to make a DSC call to
only a specific station.
Enter “INDIVIDUAL CALL” in the DSC CALLS menu. q
Select a desired preset individual address, or “Manual In- w
put,” using Dial or [Y]/[Z], then push Dial or [ENT].
•TheIDcodefortheIndividualcallcanbeenteredrst.(p.19)
•When“ManualInput”isselected,enteradesired9digitMMSIID
code for the individual you wish to call.
•Push[EXIT]toreturntothenormaloperatingmode.
•Push[BACK]toreturntothepreviousscreen.
About Manual Entry:
Enter a desired individual ID in the following way:
•SelectadesirednumberusingDial,or[Ω]/[≈].
•Push[ENT]orDialtosetit.
•Tomovethecursor,selecteitherarrow,“←” or “→,” then push
[ENT] or Dial.
•Therstdigitisspeciedas‘0’foraGroupID.Ifa9digitGroupID
is entered, an error beep sounds when pushing [ENT] or dial.
•Thersttwodigitsare‘0’foranycoaststationID.
NOTE: When a coast station is selected in this step, the
voice channel is automatically specified by the coast sta-
tion. Therefore, skip step e and go directly to step r.
Select a desired intership channel using Dial or [ e Y]/[Z],
then push [ENT].
•Intershipchannelsarealreadypresetintothetransceiverinthe
recommended order.
