Memory bank setting
The IC-R6 has a total of 22 banks (A to R, T, U, W and Y).
Regular memory channels 000 to 1299 can be assigned to
any desired bank, for easy memory management.

Hold down [S.MW](V/M) for 1 second to enter the select
memory write mode.
• 1 short and 1 long beep sounds.
The “
icon and memory channel number blink.
w Rotate [DIAL] to select a desired memory channel.
e
While holding down [MODE], rotate [DIAL] to select the
“BANK” item.
The bank group and channel number are displayed if the select-
ed memory channel has already been assigned to a bank.
The “BANKitem can also be selected by pushing [MODE]
repeatedly.

After releasing [MODE], -- -- -- --” is displayed instead of the
frequency display, and only the “
icon blinks.
r While holding down [BAND], rotate [DIAL] to select a
desired bank group.
• Bank groups A to R, T, U, W and Y are selectable.
The bank groups can also be selected by repeatedly pushing
[BAND].

nel to the bank.
Return to the previous screen before entering the select memory
