SET UP AND INSTALLATION
1. Remove screw from back of the
receiver cover and open the door. (fig.1)
2. Install three “C” batteries in the receiver. (Fig.2)
3. You can connect an AC adapter
(6V DC 500mA; plug length: 12mm;
inside positive ID: 2.1mm;
outside negative OD: 5.5mm)
to the Alert, and install the batteries
as backup in case of power failure.
LINKING TO THE INTERIOR SENSOR ALERT
In order for the SK664 Alert to provide any notifications, it must be LINKED to any of
Ideal Security’s SK6 SERIES sensors, contacts or remote controls (aka transmitters).
Up to 6 transmitters can be linked to a SK664. Each transmitter will take up one of the
6 available spots and have it’s own unique sound.
A sound can be linked to one transmitter only. Once a transmitter is linked to a sound,
the sound is then removed from the available sounds.
Listed below are the six different sounds in order:
1. Di-Di. 2. Di-Di-Di. 3. Ding-Dong.
4. Di Du. 5. WuWu. 6. DiDiDiDuDuDu
Follow the steps to link transmitters to the SK664 Alert:
1. Slide the POWER switch to ON position.
2. Slide the SOUND switch to ON position.
3. Tap on the LEARN button (Fig 4), you will
hear one of the 6 available sounds.
Continue to tap to cycle through all 6 sounds.
Stop when you hear the sound you want.
4. Press and hold the LEARN button for
2 to 3 seconds until you hear a beep,
and then release the button.
5. Trigger a transmitter that you want to link to the SK664 Alert:
Motion sensor SK615: wave your hand in front of the sensor.
Water detector SK616: dip the sensor in water
Door/Window SK621 & SK625: seperate the magnetic contacts.
Power failure SK640: unplug it from an outlet
Temperature SK627: press the test button on the back
Remote control SK629: press any button on the remote control
If you have already linked a motion sensor to the SK664 Alert, cover that sensor
to block the screen before attempting to link other sensors. Your movement in
front of that sensor will trigger the sensor again with every movement.
6. If you hear a long beep then the learn code is successful. If you hear 4 short
beeps instead, then it is unsuccessful, please try (re-learn) again.
7. Repeat for all transmitters you have.
REMOVE A SENSOR (TRANSMITTER)
If you want to un-link a sensor (remove it) press and hold the LEARN button at the
back of the Alert for 12 seconds. This will delete all the learned codes from the
Alert. You will hear two long beeps confirming that all codes have been deleted. You
must now relink all the sensors (transmitters) to the Alert.
OPERATION
Turn the power and sound switches to ON position on the Alert. You will
immediately hear a beep indicating that the unit is in standby/ready mode. The
ARMED middle LED light will start to flash indicating unit is on and ready to receive
signal. When the Alert is triggered the two outer LED lights will flash for 10
seconds and you will hear an alarm for 10 seconds.
If you linked a SK646 garage door sensor to the Alert, and if the garage door is
left open, then the Alert will sound again for 10 seconds at 1, 4, 14 minutes, then
every 10 minutes after, and the lights will continue flash from the start, until the
garage door is closed (You may disarm with the remote control if linked).
Alerts will sound for 10 seconds per cycle with the exception of the “Ding-Dong”
which sounds only once per cycle.
Sound ON/OFF switch: when sensor (transmitter) is triggered and the Alert is in the
ON position the alarm will sound and lights will flash. If the sound switch is in the
OFF position, only the lights will flash.
REMOTE CONTROL / PANIC BUTTON (sold separately):
You may arm or disarm the receiver with a remote control. Pressing the DISARM
button on the remote control will stop the receiver from emitting sound or light,
the middle light will stop flashing. If a signal is sent it will not ring. When you want
the Alert to operate again, press the ARM button, the middle light will start
flashing again. The remote control only arms/disarms the Alert; it does not turn
the power on and off. The PANIC button will work either in arm mode or disarm
mode, as long as the Alert is turned ON. It will ring for 10 seconds then stop. For
continuous ringing you have to keep the PANIC button pressed. Maximum range of
the remote control to the alert is 65 feet (20 meters).
IMPORTANT
NOTES
Before installing permanently Test the reception range of the Alert. If the Alert
does not pick up the signal from a transmitter try another location closer to the
transmitter. Or just place the Alert on a flat surface for easy portability.
Do not install the Alert where it will be exposed to direct sunlight or rain ( for
indoor use only)
The Alert can be very loud, never put the speaker close to your ear.
If the Alert sounds randomly, it is possible that it or the linked transmitter is too
close to a heat source. Changing the location or direction of the
receiver/transmitter may correct the problem.
We recommended that batteries be replaced annually.
