Insulation Resistance
1. Press to turn on the instrument.
2.Presstoselect1000V,500V,or250Vtestvoltage.
3.Insertthetestleadsinthecorrespondinginputterminalsofthe
instrument.
4. Disconnect the circuit under test from power and isolate all eventual
loads.
5.Applyleadstowiringundertest.
6.Setthetimerperiodfortesting.
 • Defaulttimeis30seconds
 • Holdfor1s.Then,usetoselecttime:1min.to10min.
Press to confirm selection.
 • Tocontinuoustest:Pressand.Lockisdisplayed
and unit beeps. Press again to stop continuous mode.
7. Press to start the insulation testing. The resulting megohm
 readingisdisplayed.Keeptheleadsonthetestpointstoallowthe
circuit to discharge.
Warning: The symbol on the display means that the
instrument is charging or discharging the circuit and indicates a
shockhazardispresent.
