12.InstructionsforusingSE2Lforthe
firsttimeafterpurchase
SE2L does not operate withoutinitial configuration. Install and
useSLSProject Designer from CD provided with the product to
configureSE2L.
(1)SLSUSBdriverinstallation
a) ConnecttheSE2Lto PC'sUSB port. PC will detect the new
hardwareandopenthe“FoundNewHardwareWizard”.
b)Select“Installfromalistorspecificlocation(Advanced)”,insert
theCDthenclick[Next>].
c)Select“Searchforthebestdriverintheselocations”.Thenselect
“Includethislocationinthesearch”,andclick[Browse].
d)Selectthe“Driver”folder,thenclick[OK].
e)Click [Next>]. The wizardstarts searching for thedriver and
dialogueboxisshown.
f)WindowsstartsinstallingtheSLSUSBdriver.
g) After clicking [Finish], the dialogueappears indicating new
hardwareissuccessfullyinstalled.
Toconfirm that theSLSUSBdriver was successfullyinstalled, goto
thecomputer'sdevicemanagerandexpand the“Ports(COMandLPT)”list,
“SLSUSBDeviceDriver”shouldbeseenasoneoftheCOMports.。
(2)SLSProjectDesignerinstallation
a)InserttheCDintotheCD-ROMdrive.
b) Click“ SLSProjectDesigner*.*installer.exe”.
c) Follow the instructions of the installer and complete the
installation.
(3)ConfigurationProcedure
a)RuntheinstalledSLSConfiguratorsoftware.
b)Followingapplication window will appear. Select[Createnew
configuration]andclick[OK]button.
c)Followingconfigurationwindowwillappear.Click[Connections]→
[Connect]fromthemenu.
d)Followingpassworddialogboxwillappear.Enterdefaultpassword
[12345678]andclick[OK].
e) Following configurationwindow willappear. A message box
[Deviceconfigurationisincomplete!Pleasereconfigurethedevice]
willappear,refertoChapter7oftheuser'smanualandcomplete
thefunctionconifguration,andwriteintotheSE2L.
