4.3 STEP 1 - Microphone Selection
The ARC MEMS Measurement Microphone is the last available in the selec-
tion, with the previous version of the microphone in two slightly different
versions.
It is important to keep in mind that neither microphone is inherently better
or worse; It is simply that due to a small difference in frequency response
the software must be told which microphone you are using to ensure the
most accurate measurement possible.
To determine which microphone type you’re using, simply check the P/N
number on the label of your microphone, and then select the corresponding
option on the ARC 2 Measurement application (figure 4.2)..

Once you have selected which microphone type you have, click NEXT to
proceed with the ARC 2 Measurement process. If you have not selected a
microphone type, you will not be able to click NEXT to continue.
IMPORTANT: if the wrong microphone type is selected, the resulting ARC 2
correction will be incorrect. Please take the time to make sure that you have
selected the correct microphone to ensure an accurate measurement!
