If the ambient temperature is high or the appliance is fully loaded, and the appliance is set to the lowest temperatures, it may run continuously causing frost to form on the rear wall. In this case the dial must be set to a higher temperature to allow automatic defrosting and therefore reduced energy consumption.
ENGLISH 11 Movable shelves The walls of the refrigerator are equipped with a series of runners so that the safety glass shelves can be positioned as desired. This bottle holder shelf can be tilted in order to store previously opened bottles. To obtain this result, pull the shelf up so it can rotate upwards and be placed on the next higher level. Positioning the door balconies Caution! Do not move the glass shelf above the vegetable drawer to ensure correct air circulation.

ENGLISH Hints and tips Normal operating sounds The following sounds are normal during operation: • A faint gurgling and bubbling sound from coils sound when refrigerant is pumped. • A whirring and pulsating sound from the compressor when refrigerant is pumped. • A sudden cracking noise from inside appliance caused by thermic dilatation (a natural and not dangerous physical phenomenon). • A faint click noise from the temperature regulator when the compressor switches on or off.
ENGLISH • lean foods store better and longer than fatty ones; salt reduces the storage life of food; • water ices, if consumed immediately after removal from the freezer compartment, can possibly cause the skin to be freeze burnt; • it is advisable to show the freezing in date on each individual pack to enable you to keep tab of the storage time.
ENGLISH To remove the frost, do these steps: 1. Switch off the appliance. 2. Remove any stored food, wrap it in several layers of newspaper and put it in a cool place. 3. Leave the door open. 4. When defrosting is completed, dry the interior thoroughly and refit the plug. 5. Switch on the appliance. 6. Set the temperature regulator to obtain the maximum coldness and run the appliance for two or three hours using this setting. 7. Reload the previously removed food into the compartment.
