BGS-S12-V2 Background Support System INSTRUCTIONS
Thank you for choosing the Impact Background Support System. We designed this background support system from 16-gauge aluminum tubing to be strong but lightweight. It will support seamless paper rolls up to 9´-wide or muslin sheets up to 12´-wide. The four cross-bar sections can be combined into 6´, 9´, or 12´ lengths. Two support stands have three positive-locking knobs and are adjustable from 39˝ to 10.5´. Non-skid support feet give your backdrop added stability.
Setting Up Your Background Support System 1 Start with one of the stands. Unlock the legs by turning the knob counter-clockwise. Spread the leg sections, but maintain a low center of gravity. Re-tighten the knob. 3 Configure the second stand to match the first. 2 Raise the height of the stand by unlocking the sections. Start with the lowest knob, and raise each section to your desired height. Re-tighten each knob. 4 Place the two stands approximately where you want the backdrop to hang.
5 Next, assemble the cross bar. You can assemble the cross bar sections into a 6, 9, or 12-foot length. The ends of your cross bar must be the sections with oval holes. 7 Twist until the flat indents align. This locks the pieces. Continue adding sections in this way, keeping the sections with the oval holes on the two ends. 4 6 Connect one section to another by inserting a knobbed end into an open end. Twist the two sections until you can insert the knobbed end all the way.
9 Your Impact Background Support System will now support a cloth or seamless paper background. 11 If you’re using seamless paper as your background, lift one end of your crossbar from its support stand. Slide the paper roll over the crossbar, then remount the cross bar. 10 For a cloth background, you’ll have to first remove the cross bar. Slide the cross bar into the pocket on top of the background. Then remount the cross bar. 12 Pull down the paper roll to the desired length.
13 14 It’s a good practice to secure the legs of your background supports with a sandbag or weight bag. A cloth background ready for shooting. 15 A seamless paper background ready for shooting.
