LSA-WMB7HD Wall-Mounted Boom Arm 7’, HD INSTRUCTIONS 1
Introduction Thank you for choosing Impact. The Impact wall-mounted boom arm offers a quick and safe way to mount a light or camera without setting up light stands or taking up valuable floor space. Heavy-duty aluminum tubes allow the boom arm to extend from 3.9' to 7' while supporting a load of up to 12 lb. A 5/8" socket at the end of the arm holds a reversible stud with 1/4" and 3/8" male threads. When fully extended, the arm offers pan and tilt movement of 180° for precise light or camera positioning.
Precautions • Do not exceed the maximum load capacity. • Always engage safety devices and locks where applicable. • This product should be used between -22°F and 140°F (-30°C and 60°C) only. • Please read and follow these instructions, and keep this manual in a safe place. • Keep this unit away from water and flammable gases or liquids. • Do not attempt to disassemble or repair the equipment—doing so will void the warranty, and Impact will not be responsible for any damage.
Mounting a light to the boom arm Securely mount the boom arm to the wall. Be certain that the wall will support the weight of the boom arm plus the weight of the lights or devices you plan to mount on the boom arm. 1. 4 Loosen the locking knob, and remove the mounting stud from the end of the boom arm. 2. Mount the light to the 1/4"-20 or 3/8" end of the mounting stud. 3. With the light mounted, replace the stud at the end of the boom arm, and handtighten the locking knob.
Operating the boom arm Note: In order to prevent accidents, always keep one hand on the light when changing the position of the boom arm. Never exceed the load capacity of 12 lb. 1. To raise or lower the boom arm, loosen the ratchet handle and the support locking knob. Push the boom arm up or down to the desired position. Lock the position by tightening the ratchet handle and support locking knob.
Operating the boom arm 2. 6 To move the boom arm to the left or right, swing the arm to the desired position.
Operating the boom arm 3. To extend the boom arm, loosen the locking knob and pull the extension section of the arm out to the desired position. With the locking knob loosened, you can also rotate the extension section to position the light at the desired angle.
Maintenance Regular use of the boom arm may loosen the hex screws in the base riser collar and the support tube collar. If tightening the ratchet handle or locking knob does not securely lock the position of the boom arm, use the included hex key to tighten the hex screws in the base riser collar or support collar. To change the position of the boom arm again, you will have to first loosen the hex screws.
