Note: If you decide to connect to DHCP after connecting serially, remember to use RShell to change
the IP address on the reader from static to dynamic. For more information, see Using RShell to
Congure Network Settings for Impinj R700.
The dialog box below shows how to congure network settings with WebUI. You must rst select Network
from the menu at the top of the page, and then select your interface from the Interface List.
5.3.4 Step 4: Congure the Region Setting on the Reader
ETSI readers require that the specic region of operation be set by the professional installer. Note that
readers cannot be altered and only operate per the regulatory laws in USA/Canada.
Warning: The RF settings must match the country/region of operation to comply with local laws and
regulations. You, the user, are responsible to ensure operation with the correct RF settings and are solely
responsible for any nes and other damages due to incorrect or non-compliant country/region settings on
your Reader.

Out of the box, the ETSI R700 reader is congured to use the EU1 region by default. If the EU2 region is
desired instead, it can be selected and set with RShell or WebUI.
Note: The default for FGX readers is region NONE, which must be changed in order to perform RFID
operations.
